Kahoot

  Today I’m going to introduce you a game-based learning platform; Kahoot! This is one of the fun applications for the classroom activities. The app requests interaction and participation of the students.

How to use Kahoot?

  First thing the teacher need to do is creating a quiz before the lesson. It can be about any subject, it’s on teacher’s preferences. For example, teacher can create a quiz about the last lesson’s subject and the questions have some important details to examine students’ knowledge. There are four answers for each question. The questions are reflecting on the board and of course the answers are, too. Students connect the quiz with their special codes and the teacher starts the quiz. Students answer the questions after reading the question and answers on the board and they mark the correct one on their phones. The answers are representing by the colors; red, blue, yellow and green. So, you need to read the board carefully to answer! In the activity, most important thing is marking the correct answer but besides this, your speed is important, too. If you can answer the questions as fast as you can, then you can beat your classmates! After the quiz, there is a chart that you can see your rank and points.

  This application is very creative and useful for more joyful classes. So, teachers can use this when the students feel bored and I believe that, sometimes even the teachers get bored, too. Kahoot can save us from this boredom! I personally recommend Kahoot for teachers.
