Vidcast

As for the Cambridge Dictionary , a video stored in a digital form (= in a form that uses signals in the form of numbers) that you can download from the internet and play on a computer or on an MP3 player is Vidcast. So I wanted to try and share my own Vidcast for you about an extension. Hope you enjoy!

   Hello, my dear readers. Today I want to inform you about an incredible tool; Flipgrid. This tool is basically a video sharing platform. Teacher posts a video and students records their response to the teacher. The topic of the video depends on teacher’s preferences. For instance, teacher can ask something or something to do related to lesson, from their students and the students send their answer to teacher. In this way, they can interact with each other with video. Also, this supports the one-to-one interaction. The teacher can comment on the videos and give feedback to students.     I’m here with something new today! I want to introduce you a virtual reality game Second Life! But first, I should start with explaining what virtual world is. The definition in *Techopedia says “A virtual world is a computer-based online community environment that is designed and shared by individuals so that they can interact in a custom-built, simulated world.” So, as you can see, Second Life is also a virtual world! How does it work?     Firstly, you need to download the app. After the set-up process, you can go into the virtual world of Second Life. First thing you need to do is registering the app. Then, there is a section that you create and design your own avatar! You can create your avatar as a vampire, monster, etc. So, there are many options! After choosing your avatar, you can customize your appearance.     Hello my dear readers! In this post, I’m going to inform you about an amazing tool; Padlet! Basically, the tool is appeal to both teachers and students! First thing we see when we view the website is the design. So, in my opinion I love the design of the website but also, it might seem a little complicated at first. After spending some time, you can understand how the tool works. You may say, why should I use this? Here is my answer. If you are using Padlet as a teacher, you can create your own class. After sharing the link for the class, it is only visible to the students and the teachers. So, you can say that there is privacy if you need! Teachers can give access to the students to lessons and can observe students’ progress, what they do, etc. Also, there is a section to share videos, pictures, writings, etc. with students and they can interact with their teacher!
